So, as you can see, there haven't been any updates on this page for a while... winter has brought about plenty of studio time, and has brought about some changes for our group. Soon to be posted! in the meantime, enjoy this special unreleased mix from last summer done by Kai-Ya! Hey everyone, a little update about what's been happening. We've had some technical difficulties we've been trying to iron out with our weekly recordings, but we think they've been ironed out and we'll be back on track providing more great free music to you as of this weekend.

We'd like to take a minute to mention how great it was to have been involved in the first (hopefully annual) Calgary Electronic Music festival on september 25th where we sponsored one of the three official stages, and were part of an event which showcased the love of electronicmusic and dance events in calgary as something that is truly a broad interest for all ages and social groups. For anyone interested in booking any of the talent that we showcased at the sound advice stage, please check the menu at the top of this page for the booking link =)

October has been off to a great start as our weekly night at Sam's in kensington is getting back into swing following all the summer festival appearences that went right through until the last festival of the year at CEMF, and we're looking forward to bringing in new outside talent to compliment our already outstanding roster to which Sinthetic Creatures officially joined in september, and Hurricane Barker is to be our freshest member.

To top off our dj'ing successes, Steve velocity is just a machine of breaks production with his originals and remixes consistently charting in the top 5 on trackitdown's breakbeats charts, and Kai-Ya is buckling down in the studio preparing productions for release this coming year on top of providing his current mastering and tutoring services which have been gaining popularity.

This winter you can look forward to the ever evolving and growing presence of Sound Advice in the calgary scene through continued DJ appearences throughout the city at some of the finest nightlife hotspots, on the radio, and around alberta. Notable guest appearences include Buck Wilde making a stop up for a fantastic GOMP party to be thrown in edmonton in november, Kai-Ya! dropping into SOul Funky (an all liquid DnB night) at Habitat on thursday, november 7th. You can be sure to find us at many other appearances, so keep your eyes peeled!
